Dr. Shelby Esambolchi

Dr. Shelby Esambolchi is an eye doctor who can diagnose, manage, and treat ocular conditions. She likes to educate her patients that some systemic conditions may manifest in the eyes.

She loves working with people and looks forward to taking care of all your eye care needs.

Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Shelby Esambolchi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of California at San Diego. She then went on to receive her doctorate degree in optometry from Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry in Pomona, CA. Dr. Esambolchi completed her clinical externships at a multi-OD private practice, MD/OD practice, community health clinic, and the San Diego Naval hospital. During her training, she gained experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, amblyopia, dry eye, multifocal contact lens fittings, and co-management of cataract and LASIK surgery.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association and has served as a volunteer for Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, providing comprehensive eye exams in Fiji and Mexico.

Dr. Esambolchi loves traveling, photography, fashion, and writing poetry.
